i need two more arms…

By in Master Bedroom

I had an awesome time in Ottawa yesterday with my friend Devon! We spent several hours shopping at IKEA then headed over to the Byward Market for some browsing around and lunch! Speaking of lunch, we ate a wonderful little Vietnamese restaurant named Cafe Indochine. I had a delicious sour pineapple soup and a green-curry chicken with rice dish.

I lucked out at IKEA in that the 8 drawer Hemnes dresser that Anna helped me pick out two years ago happened to be in stock, even though I thought it wasn’t any longer! I snatched one up as well as a beautiful white full-length Hemnes mirror.

I was planning on having the dresser all put together by this evening so I could move my clothes into it and post some pictures, but alas, after spending 45 minutes carrying all the pieces upstairs (it came in two huge boxes) and looking at the instructions I realized that I would need some help putting it together. It’s BIG! So my mom is going to come down tomorrow night and help me get it put together. For right now here’s a picture of how it looks right now in my bedroom!

Wow, so they still had that dresser?! That’s great!! It’s pretty much the perfect size for the room, I think. Better to have something wide than narrow if you have the space for it.

You must be so excited to finally have a bunch of storage space for your clothes!! I bet you’ll be up all night tomorrow re-folding everything and putting it away. 🙂

I still really love the color of your floor.

It’s going to fit in the room perfectly. I’m so excited to have all of my clothes in one room after 6 years! The mirror is really awesome too, just the perfect size. I see now why a good quality mirror is worth spending a little more money than getting a college dorm one at Walmart.

As for the floor color, I have you to thank for that. Every day I look at it and I love it!

We also have the that dresser and I swear the drawers are so big you could add water and go for a swim. I have loved both of those dressers so much since we got them, well worth the time it takes to put them together! (I can say that because I was merely the assistant while my hubby did most of the assembly!)

Can’t wait to see the room after it’s all in place!

How exciting ! And how… annoying… needing extra arms to put it all together. I hate when that happens.

We also have that dresser. It truly Is big enough to have a swim in the drawers. Congrats on your IKEA haul. I hear you about wishing to live closer to one. I could spend ALL day in there and still not feel like I’ve seen everything!
