the dresser

By in Master Bedroom

This is the dresser that I keep mentioning that has had to live in my yet unseen by all of you downstairs bedroom because it wouldn’t fit up the stairs. This has made clothing storage very inconvenient for me. I’m going to make an attempt again tomorrow to get it up there since I have removed the carpet and padding from the stairs since my last attempt to try to get it up there. I hope it works because I really like it and it complements my bed well. Plus I need it so I can have clothes in my newly remodeled bedroom! Wish me luck!

This is probably obvious, but just in case you didn’t think of it… take the drawers out first. Even if you don’t gain much clearance space without them, the lighter weight will make it easier for you to try to maneuver the dresser into weird positions.

    YOU CAN DO IT! 🙂

Once it’s up there, I’ll take another look at the floor plan to help you figure out where to put it.

I just did some measuring, and it is going to be very, very, very tight, but we shall see tomorrow. I will be taking the drawers out!

  3. Fingers crossed, it will look gorgeous in there with your bed! Although I do agree with the need for a rug. And a big plant of some sort. Good luck!

    So????? How did it go??

By the way, we’re not going to IKEA until next weekend, so you have time to think about whether you need anything. 🙂

I wasn’t able to get anyone to help me get it up the stairs today, but I think I have someone for tomorrow. Did you think at all of where it should go? I found a blue throw today the same color as the one in your picture except without the fringe for $10 at T.J. Maxx and my mom bought me some 315 thread count sheets the same color as my floor. I think I am going to buy the rug, although I’m nervous about the animals. I’m going to stick with the curtains, I really like them, but I know if I ever change my mind I can easily take them down, but for now I’m anxiously awaiting my curtain rings. I don’t know what to get for cord keepers. Can you tell I’ve been to a party? I thinjk I found something at Walmart that will work in my closet, but I have to buy it and see if it works, if not I’ll return it. Still haven’t found a mirror or a rod for the closet, I ended up getting the opaque version of my curtains for the closet.
