the bedroom remodel continues

By in Master Bedroom

I got the north bedroom wall skim coated and texturized this weekend. It took longer than I thought, but I think it is going to look really great once it is primed and painted. I’ll be working on it a couple hours each night this week and during the weekend. I finally feel like I am on the way to finishing this project. Things are coming together and overall I’m pleased. The wall is unevenly colored in the pic above (it’s not all dry) but once it is painted it should have an even consistency.

Adam you are doing such a good job!! Can’t wait to see the bedroom once it’s finished. Love love love the restored door too.

  2. How exciting! Did you ever decide on the color? And the door does look great, the knob is my new favorite!

Adam, it’s coming along SO well. The door looks really cute (I love the round backplate!), and I’m glad you did the hinges. 🙂

I can’t wait to see the bedroom painted!

    Kristy: Thank you!

Anne: I’m going to do the same colors I used in the hallway, Benjamin Moore Moonlight White for the walls and ceiling and Simply White for the trim. I’m going to do Benjamin Moore Palladian Blue for the floor. Accessories will be black and white and a few as yet undecided colors. Anna had suggested a great throw in a vibrant pinkisgh red color but when I went to IKEA they told me they no longer make it.

Anna: Thank you! I feel like I am on the home stretch! The door I got from a friend for Thurston’s room also has a round backplate and a brown ceramic knob like the one on your bathroom door. It is a six paneled door, which will give me two 4 panel doors, one 2 panel door and one 6 panel door for the upstairs! At least they are even numbers!
