goodbye carpet part 1

By in Master Bedroom

I was able to get half of my bedroom carpet up today with the help of my mom. I was going to wait until the walls were done before I took the carpet up but I only have my friend’s dump trailer until the end of the week so we decided to get it up and out! The wide plank floor underneath is so beautiful- it will look even better once it is painted Benjamin Moore Palladian Blue! I’m so excited to be getting rid of this ugly carpet and making the room my own! I also finished the last of the plaster patching in my upstairs hallway today (except for around Thurston’s doorway and where the wiring comes through- that will hopefully be finished the end of the week). I’ve made a lot of progress this week and I estimate being done in a few weeks!

Oh wow, Adam, the floor is SO beautiful! I’m jealous of those wide planks, they’re going to look amazing painted.

Thanks Anna! I was just thinking earlier how thankful I am to you for inspiring me to get started on this journey! I feel so much more capable in working with my home and expressing my taste through my decor! I want you and Evan to make a road trip up here sometime this year to see everything in person!
