paint colors

By in Anna Says..., Inspiration & Ideas, Master Bedroom
I figure paint colors deserve their own post at this point, right?
I was thinking about floor paint, and I pulled out my BM paint chip stash and found the PERFECT color: Palladian Blue. It’s a pale blue-green with a bit of gray in it, and it’s totally gorgeous. You’re going to look at the chip at the paint store and think it’s too light, but remember that colors always look darker/bolder when they’re covering a large area.
I searched on Flickr to see if I could find any photos of it in use, and I came across this one:

Isn’t it amazing?! It looks SO good with the white and wood! I can totally picture this on your floor. What do you think?

Also, just to keep track, here’s the photo from my living room that I linked to earlier to show you the wall/trim colors I used throughout my house.
Walls: Benjamin Moore Moonlight White (flat finish)
Trim: Benjamin Moore Simply White (satin finish)
p.s. I keep meaning to ask, what are the interior measurements (height/width) of your bedroom window?

  1. Oh thankyou!! I’ve been looking for a gorgeous colour to paint my studio/crafty room and this looks perfect. Now just to find it’s equivalent in Australian paint brands, sadly we don’t have Benjamin Moore here.

    Love your blog!

What a soothing mix of colors for a bedroom! Crisp, clean and peaceful.

I want to paint our kitchen and I’m at a loss for what color to use. You’re lucky to have a personal paint consultant Adam!

That color is exquisite!!!! I can’t wait to paint now, these colors are going to make that room feel so light and peaceful, a place where I can rest and not look around and marvel about how ugly the room is. You are a miracle Anna!

Hey! I’ve read your whole blog and made a few comments here and there. I ran accross it while browsing decorating blogs. I think I must have been on “Door 16” when I saw reference to it. It caught my eye because it is in Potsdam, NY. I did my undergrad there at SUNY. I graduated in 1989. Is your house in town or out in the country a ways?

Sounds like an exciting project and I look forward to seeing its progress!

I love Palladian Blue. I am redoing my bathroom, and that’s the color I’m going to paint it once the old tile is gone.
